In the fine print

Conditions from AMINA Bank's own terms, pricing pages and acceptable-use policy that don't fit in a table. Read in full and checked by hand.

Pricing

  • Business onlyThe monthly package fee is waived if the business holds CHF 10 million in assets, CHF 2.5 million in loans, or CHF 20 million in trading volume.
  • The monthly package fee is waived by meeting any one of three criteria, which are alternatives and not cumulative: CHF 10 million average assets under custody, CHF 2.5 million average loan volume, or CHF 20 million trading volume.
  • The annual package fee is waived by meeting any one of three criteria, which are alternatives and not cumulative: CHF 2 million average assets under custody, CHF 250,000 average loan volume, or CHF 1 million trading volume.
  • The Austrian entity markets an "AMINA EU MiCA Platinum Package", a MiCAR crypto service that is a different product from the Swiss bank's Platinum Package despite the similar name.
  • An outgoing euro payment costs CHF 50, not EUR 50: the fee schedule has no dedicated SEPA line, so euro transfers fall under "all other currency payments (excl. CHF payments inside of CH & all USD payments)", and fees quoted in Swiss francs are charged in the account-currency equivalent.
  • Fees on incoming payments are not published: the fee schedules price outgoing payments only.

Limits

  • There are no limits on cryptocurrency withdrawals or transfers, but each withdrawal is subject to a cool-down period on the withdrawal address and a verification call.
  • For companies that qualify for the card, the credit card limit is 10,000 CHF/EUR.
  • The credit card has a limit of 10,000 CHF/EUR.
  • The Platinum Card comes with a custom credit limit rather than a fixed one.

Payments & transfers

  • Fiat accounts are available in CHF, EUR, GBP, HKD and AED, with additional currencies described as coming soon; the currencies the bank supports overall are a wider set than those an account can be opened in.
  • The AMINA Payment Network settles instantly only in CHF, EUR, USD, GBP, AED and HKD.
  • Domestic, SEPA and international payments are listed on the Startup and Corporate packages, and the Corporate tier adds bulk payments and API access.
  • Swiss francs are the only currency that can be deposited and withdrawn directly from online banking or the mobile app; for every other currency the instruction goes through the relationship manager.

Cards

  • The Silver package does not include a credit card: card annual fees are included only in the Gold, Platinum and Corporate packages.

Crypto

  • The current account pays 0% AER on all five packages; yield comes from a separate product, the Stablecoin Rewards Account, which pays up to 3.5% quarterly on eligible stablecoins and requires a minimum average monthly balance of 10,000 units of an eligible stablecoin, counted coin by coin.
  • The Stablecoin Rewards Account is "available to all AMINA clients, except U.S. Persons and those resident or domiciled in the EEA". The exclusion covers that product only: an EEA resident can still open and hold the account, but cannot earn the stablecoin rewards.
  • Which digital assets are actually available varies by jurisdiction: the published list of supported coins is not a guarantee that every asset can be held by every client.

Opening an account

  • Business onlyThe Startup package is reserved to early-stage companies: startups and scale-ups less than 5 years old, or with funding of up to CHF 10 million.
  • Personal onlyAMINA states it may only serve professional clients: people holding at least CHF 500,000 in assets, excluding real estate, social security claims and pension fund assets, together with finance-related education or career, or at least CHF 2 million at their disposal.
  • The Abu Dhabi presence is a branch authorised for professional clients only and does not offer banking; Hong Kong is a licensed subsidiary, and the Austrian entity is a crypto-asset service provider under MiCAR rather than a bank.

Countries & residency

  • AMINA UK offers products and services to UK residents and the group has an office in Mumbai, but neither declares a licence of its own.

Sanctions

  • The Swiss general terms and conditions reserve the bank a discretionary right to restrict services, freeze accounts and refuse to execute orders in order to comply with sanctions and embargoes, without naming any country.

Licence & regulation

  • AMINA states that it is not licensed as a bank in any jurisdiction other than Switzerland, and that its products and services are licensed only in Switzerland and are not registered or approved outside it; the other entities of the group hold their own licences for their own activities.

Will AMINA Bank actually accept you?

Acceptance depends on where your company is registered, where its owners live, where your money flows - and your sector. The wizard checks AMINA Bank's published rules on all of them, and shows you the alternatives too.
