In the fine print

Conditions from Blackcat's own terms, pricing pages and acceptable-use policy that don't fit in a table. Read in full and checked by hand.

Pricing

  • Business onlyThis plan is for regulated high-risk businesses and uses dedicated pricing rather than the standard published rates.
  • Payments move across the EEA, the UK and Switzerland with no limits, incoming transfers are always free, and the first 5 outgoing payments each month are free too.
  • Incoming SEPA and internal transfers are always free and carry no amount limit. Outgoing SEPA is free for the first 5 payments a month, then costs a flat €0.20 from the sixth onwards.

Limits

  • The €100,000 ceiling belongs to the SEPA Instant network rather than to Blackcat: standard SEPA Credit has no strict EU-wide cap.

Payments & transfers

  • Transfers are limited to the SEPA zone: all EEA countries plus Andorra, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, and Switzerland.
  • No specific list of blocked or restricted countries is published; transfers are subject only to generic AML/CFT and sanctions-screening clauses in the terms.

Cards

  • Personal onlyThe physical card (Access Tools) is available only to residents of the EEA; those residing outside the EEA still get the EUR wallet and the app, but without a physical card.
  • Business onlyThis plan does not include a physical card; it comes with the EUR wallet, the app, and the web portal only.

Crypto

  • The in-app crypto wallet is a shared app feature operated by the partner MANERIO Sp. z o.o., with the same availability on every plan.
  • Customers from a published list of around 34 jurisdictions are excluded from the crypto wallet.

Opening an account

  • Business onlyThis plan requires the company to have a valid EU VAT number, verifiable through the European Commission's VIES portal.

Licence & regulation

  • Operated by Papaya Ltd, registered in Malta (company registration number C55146).
  • Client funds are safeguarded in accordance with applicable legislation, but balances held in e-money accounts are not covered by the Depositor Compensation Scheme.

Will Blackcat actually accept you?

Acceptance depends on where your company is registered, where its owners live, where your money flows - and your sector. The wizard checks Blackcat's published rules on all of them, and shows you the alternatives too.
