In the fine print

Conditions from ConnectPay's own terms, pricing pages and acceptable-use policy that don't fit in a table. Read in full and checked by hand.

Pricing

  • Entities with complex ownership structures - for example where the ultimate beneficial owners are trusts or foundations - incur an additional charge, and ConnectPay's sales team contacts you after an initial review to confirm whether to proceed with the application.
  • The account tiers (Tree, Forest, Jungle) are risk-priced and assigned by ConnectPay during onboarding based on your profile and risk - customers can't pick a tier themselves.
  • The euro account runs on SEPA, both Instant and standard credit transfers, and opening and maintaining it costs nothing.

Crypto

  • Crypto-related businesses - exchanges, brokers, custodians, miners, DeFi projects and ICO/STO issuers - are treated as restricted rather than outright banned: they may be accepted conditionally and placed in a higher tier.
  • ConnectPay also prohibits the following business activities: virtual asset tumblers and mixers; companies funded through ICOs, STOs or ISPOs; binary options; trading in gas and oil (petroleum); shell banks; counterfeit or pirated goods; companies with bearer shares; religious content, products or services; illegal drugs and the chemicals used to produce synthetic drugs; radioactive and hazardous materials; protected species, ivory and animal fur; cultural and archaeological objects; auctions; human body parts and pathogens; Ponzi and pyramid schemes; embassies and consulates; unlicensed remittance, exchange houses, bureaux de change and money-transfer services; and debt restructuring, factoring, credit repair and debt collection.

Sanctions

  • Payments to and from specific Ukrainian regions - Luhansk, Donetsk, Crimea, Sevastopol, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia - are prohibited on both sending and receiving, even though Ukraine as a whole is not restricted.

Will ConnectPay actually accept you?

Acceptance depends on where your company is registered, where its owners live, where your money flows - and your sector. The wizard checks ConnectPay's published rules on all of them, and shows you the alternatives too.
