Limits

  • The £2,000 daily cash limit comes with a count as well: at most 5 withdrawals in any 24 hours. How much you can take out in one go is decided by the ATM you use, not by Equals Money.
  • The prepaid programme is capped at three levels: $2,000,000 across the whole company, $200,000 on any single card, and $20,000 per individual card load.
  • A single card can be unloaded of up to $200,000 a day, and used for at most 5 ATM cash withdrawals a day.

Payments & transfers

  • The EU account supports 23 currencies, fewer than the UK/global product.

Cards

  • Mastercard cards are issued under Equals Money's UK EMI license; the US prepaid card is the exception, issued by partner bank Cross River Bank (an FDIC member) rather than under an Equals Money license.

Crypto

  • Business onlyThe crypto capability is a business fiat on/off-ramp for digital-asset firms (USDC received through a stablecoin payment API and converted to fiat), not a consumer in-app wallet or trading feature.

Opening an account

  • Business onlyThe US prepaid card program is open only to organizations (sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, corporation, trust, or similar commercial entity), not private consumers, and requires a US federal EIN, with principal owners providing a US mailing address and SSN.
  • Business onlyEquals states it uses custom acceptance criteria and assesses every business individually, including those considered 'high-risk' by traditional institutions - an approach that may apply to bespoke Enterprise clients.

Countries & residency

  • The personal account is available only to customers based in the UK or outside the EEA.
