Payments & transfers
- Incoming wire transfers (SWIFT) sent from Russia or Belarus aren't supported for Payoneer receiving accounts issued by Citibank.
- Withdrawals are supported in more than 70 currencies.
- The Mexican peso receiving account only takes payments from five sources, Amazon, Google Pay, Walmart, PayPal and MercadoLibre. Money from anyone else is refused, so it works for marketplace payouts and not for invoicing a client.
- Payments into the yen receiving account must be sent to a specific beneficiary name, Payoneer Japan written in katakana, or they will not arrive.
Cards
- The Payoneer card can be used to buy crypto, even though selling or exchanging cryptocurrency through the account isn't otherwise permitted.
Business activity
- Payoneer also doesn't support several other business lines: counterfeit or IP-infringing goods; health and beauty products such as cosmetics or lotions; academic essay-writing services; book or article publishing services; and vacation services such as booking agencies, car or apartment rentals, and tour guides. These are published examples; the full prohibited list is only in the account's Terms & Conditions.
Opening an account
- The account is limited to business and commercial use: it can't be used for consumer sales, personal payments, or friends-and-family transfers.
