Crypto
- living in GBStablecoin and cryptoasset services are not directed at, and may not be available to, customers in the United Kingdom: the UK entity's payment authorisation does not extend to these activities.
Business activity
- PhotonPay's policy also prohibits auction houses, chemical and allied products, dating and escort services, binary options trading, political or religious organisations, video game arcades, debt-collection activities, and trading in prime bank instruments (bank guarantees, debentures, letters of credit, medium-term notes).
Opening an account
- Checkout/merchant payment acceptance is currently only available to businesses incorporated in mainland China, Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, or the European Union. Other features of the account (multi-currency collection, payouts) are not limited to these regions.
- The business signup form only accepts a closed list of countries of incorporation. Companies registered in Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine or Venezuela are not on it and cannot complete registration.
- Ukraine stands out among those: it is not covered by any sanctions programme, and PhotonPay publishes no eligibility policy that explains why the signup form leaves it out.
