Payments & transfers
- Local GBP payments settle over UK Faster Payments/CHAPS and typically arrive within about 2 hours.
- EUR is received and sent over SEPA using a UK-issued (GB) IBAN rather than a Eurozone IBAN.
Business activity
- Business onlyBeyond the sectors flagged separately, Sends also prohibits multi-level marketing, pawnbrokers, political organisations, drug paraphernalia, carbon credits, and Ponzi or pyramid schemes.
- Business onlyFor card acquiring specifically, extra categories are barred: covert surveillance equipment, remote sale of medicines or tobacco without a licence, food supplements, and government documents or identity cards.
- Business onlySends does not open accounts for shell banks or for financial institutions making payments on behalf of other financial institutions (nested / layering relationships).
Opening an account
- Business onlyCard acquiring (payment processing for merchants) is available to UK-registered companies only.
