- Business onlyNo limits are published for the business account: which products and conditions apply is decided by the Swissquote office that handles the relationship.
Payments & transfers
- The very first deposit has to arrive from a bank in a closed list of countries: "Once the first funding has been accepted, you may fund from a wider selection of countries". It restricts the money coming in the first time, not the corridors afterwards and not where you live.
- No country is listed as forbidden for payments. The Swiss general terms only state that the bank is not obliged to execute payments that break laws or orders from the authorities, and warn that third countries such as the United States apply embargoes of their own.
- Payment is possible in BTC, ETH and XRP, with the trade size expressed in euro or the currency equivalent.
Cards
- The Elite Package also carries a residence requirement: you have to live in one of the 14 countries eligible for the physical card.
Crypto
- Withdrawals from the Swissquote wallet to a cryptocurrency exchange are not supported at present.
- Staking is available on ETH, DOT, SOL and ADA, with a fee of 20% of the rewards; indicated gross yields go up to 2.5% (ETH), 4.29% (DOT), 6.24% (SOL) and 2% (ADA).
- The spot crypto offer advertised on the EU pages, SQX, belongs to Swissquote Bank Europe Ltd under its CSSF licence: it is not part of this Forex & CFDs account, which sits with Swissquote Capital Markets Ltd under CySEC.
- Business onlyCustody is offered for the most popular digital assets, stablecoins included.
Opening an account
- The two published versions of that list do not match: the Luxembourg entity, Swissquote Bank Europe SA, publishes 37 countries, while the help pages for Switzerland and the MEA region publish a different list of 24.
- The list of 24 countries is also the perimeter of the digital account opening: from outside it, onboarding goes through video identification.
- Business onlyThe stated target for this account is Swiss small and medium businesses and companies active internationally, of any size.
Company ownership
- Swissquote Bank Ltd is a member of the Swiss Bankers Association, and its parent company Swissquote Group Holding Ltd is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange under the symbol SQN.
