Limits

  • Internal transfers between Volet users: unverified accounts are limited to 100 USD per transaction, 250 USD per day, and 999 USD per month; verified accounts can send and receive up to 49,999 USD per day and 299,999 USD per month combined.
  • For external transfers (SWIFT, SEPA, local bank transfer), Volet does not publish fixed limits upfront; each deposit or withdrawal method has its own limit, shown at the time of the transaction.
  • Card limits shown are for the Europe card at the verified tier. Unverified accounts on the same card have much lower limits: a 150 EUR/USD lifetime card-funding limit (one transaction only), 150 EUR/USD daily POS and ATM limits, and a 150 EUR/USD maximum card balance.
  • Additional Europe card limits at the verified tier: card funding up to 5,000 EUR/USD per day (8 transactions), 20,000 EUR/USD per month, and 80,000 EUR/USD per year; ATM withdrawals up to 80,000 EUR/USD per year; maximum card balance 20,000 EUR/USD.

Payments & transfers

  • The list of countries with local bank transfer deposit support applies only to a specific top-up channel (via a third-party partner) that converts local currency into the USD wallet balance. It is not a general list of countries Volet can send or receive SWIFT/SEPA transfers with.
  • SEPA deposits to a business account require additional pre-verification: an incorporation document no older than 3 years (or a recent register extract, Certificate of Good Standing, or Certificate of Incumbency), a company affiliation document no older than 1 year for non-European companies, and a bank statement no older than 3 months showing the company's name, address and IBAN. Transfers are not accepted from offshore bank accounts.

Opening an account

  • Personal only · living in GBVerification requests from consumers resident in the UK are currently not accepted, due to recent changes in UK crypto-asset legislation. The company states service will resume once the required regulatory permission is obtained.
  • Business account verification requires a certificate of incorporation, the account holder's passport, and a document linking the company to the account holder; information on beneficial owners and the CEO/General Director is also required if the account holder is only a representative.

Countries & residency

  • A separate Canadian entity (Queensland Foreign Exchange Inc., FINTRAC-registered as a Money Services Business) applies only to customers resident in Canada.

Licence & regulation

  • Volet's default entity for non-Canadian customers, Second February Limitada (Costa Rica), does not disclose any financial license or regulator in its Terms and Conditions or AML Policy.
  • Marketing material claims the company operates through partner licenses including an Electronic Money Institution partnership in the EU, but does not name the partner or a license number, and this claim does not appear in the binding legal terms.
  • No deposit protection scheme (such as the UK's FSCS) is mentioned in any source.

Will Volet actually accept you?

Acceptance depends on where your company is registered, where its owners live, where your money flows - and your sector. The wizard checks Volet's published rules on all of them, and shows you the alternatives too.
