Payments & transfers

  • The World Account cannot be used by anyone residing, working or doing business in a country restricted by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, or otherwise subject to sanctions. Outside those countries WorldFirst pays out in 92 currencies to more than 210 countries and collects from more than 100 online marketplaces.

Crypto

  • The account cannot be used to trade non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies, or other virtual currencies.

Business activity

  • The account also can't be used for these prohibited transaction types: human organs or blood; controlled or endangered animal species; unlicensed hazardous or toxic chemicals; controlled dangerous tools such as crossbows; multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes; auction houses; game-hunting services (including related travel agencies); religious organisations; live-streaming platforms or services; investment immigration; and unlicensed export or re-export of US-origin goods or technology.
  • "Unlicensed or illegal financial services" are prohibited, though the terms don't explicitly rule out licensed payment service providers or EMIs.

  • Customer funds are safeguarded by being held with partner banks, and WorldFirst holds 60+ international licenses.
